Hey guys,I have a 9 month old male green quaker parrot. My boyfriend and I were thinking of getting a blue one within the next year or so. We are planning to keep them in separate cages. I’ve read a bit online and found that getting another male is the best idea, even though I was hoping I could get a girl. I’m looking for any feedback or knowledge on this. I also heard that if you’re getting another bird to go with a quaker, it should be another quaker. That and they should be around the same age. Let me know, thank you!
I am now also interested in an indian ringneck. It would likely be either that or another Quaker.
My daughter used to have two males. They were very close buddies but buddied with her too.
